“The Talk is Like Min Aung Hlaing”

I don’t think the younger generation would know this. Back during the height of the traditional theatrical (Zat Thabin) era, the top leading actor, Shwe Mann Tin Maung, spoke so beautifully and smoothly that people in neighborhoods would fondly and repeatedly quote his words.
If someone was a very eloquent and sweet talker, people would label them by saying, “His talk is pure Shwe Mann.” Shwe Mann Tin Maung was not only a great speaker but also an exceptionally talented dancer.
However, if someone spoke beautifully but failed to deliver actions matching their words, people would contrast it by saying, “His talk is Shwe Mann, but his dance is Cho Maing Maing.” This means that while they can speak like Shwe Mann Tin Maung, they cannot dance like him—instead, they dance like little children who just repeatedly raise their hands, clenching and opening their fists (Cho Myaing Myaing dance style).
Nowadays, if a new proverb emerges pairing “The talk is Min Aung Hlaing” not with “The dance is Min Aung Hlaing,” but with “The action is Min Aung Hlaing,” I would welcome it.

My Commentary / Opinion
Is he JOKING or SHAMELESSLY lying to all the citizens and the world?
If there is truly no discrimination, the easiest step would be to ALLOW all earthquake-damaged Masjids to be repaired, rebuilt, extended, or even constructed in new places.
Instead, his appointee, Mandalay Chief Minister Myo Aung, is actively refusing all applications with the lame excuse that their LAND OFFICE records do not grant them “GREEN-RELIGIOUS” Land Status. This completely ignores a century-old established, continuous presence dating back through the colonial era and the Burmese Kings’ era. It is ridiculous RED TAPE!
If they want to prove there is no discrimination, they must:
- Stop the Military Constitution.
- Give all Muslims of Myanmar their National Registration Cards (NRCs).
- Allow Muslims to enlist in the Military, Police, and Immigration at high ranks.
- Allow Muslims to serve as MPs, Administrative Officers, and immediately appoint them to Minister and Deputy Minister posts.
