Let’s rise above divisions—sect, ethnicity, politics—and unite for one purpose:
One Islam. One Muslim. One Allah.
We must stop the infighting. No more Sunni vs Shia. No more Ulama vs Others. No more Anti-Pathi vs Pathi. We are all Muslims of Myanmar—whether at home or abroad.
Respect our non-Muslim friends. We cannot fight Islamophobia while harboring fear of others. Let’s build bridges, not walls. Call them beloved friends, not enemies. Their support matters—remember Rachel Corrie, Dr. Maung Zarni, and Monk Dr. Sandadika.
Speak with ONE VOICE. We are citizens of Myanmar. We demand equal rights, democracy, and dignity.
Let’s forgive. Let’s unite. Let’s move forward—together.
Unity Through Diversity: A Strategic Path for Muslims of Myanmar
My dear friend Mr. Saw Closay once asked me a profound question:
“Do you believe a unified political voice could help Muslims gain equal rights in Burma, considering the moral and psychological dynamics of politics? Just a yes or no. Because honestly, we can’t afford to hope blindly—there’s a huge risk and potential backlash if we push for a political front.”
From a strategic lens, I answered:
“If I must be honest, I don’t believe full unity is achievable in the current climate. But perhaps, this fragmentation is not a weakness—it may be a blessing in disguise from Allah SWT.”
Why? Because when all power is concentrated in one group or leader, it becomes vulnerable—easily silenced through pressure, manipulation, or bribery. A single voice can be muted. But many voices, spread across different platforms and sectors, are harder to suppress.
Strategic Dispersion, Not Disunity
Imagine Muslims of Myanmar embedded across the spectrum—some in NLD, some in 8888, some in USDP, others in the military, NGOs, media, business, education, and even abroad. This diversity of placement allows us to influence multiple spheres without being boxed into one fragile political identity.
Yes, it may seem chaotic. But it’s also resilient. It’s not gambling—it’s hedging our future.
Spiritual Unity Over Physical Uniformity
We don’t need to be physically united under one banner. What we need is spiritual unity—rooted in our shared belief in One Allah, One Islam, and One Ummah. We must cultivate the spirit of Muslim brotherhood and sisterhood, where we support each other across divides.
Let us agree to disagree on politics, but never on compassion. Let us coordinate where interests align, and always be ready to help a fellow Muslim—in hardship, in danger, or in need—whether through action, advice, financial support, kind words, or at the very least, sincere dua.
Diversity for Unity
As Closay beautifully put it:
“Shall we change ‘unity in diversity’ to ‘diversity for unity’?”
Yes, we shall. Because if each of us embodies the moral and spiritual qualities of our Prophet ﷺ and his companions, we will rise—not just politically, but morally and spiritually—above any other group.
Let this be our motto:
“One for all, all for one.” Each individual acting for the benefit of the group, and the group acting for the benefit of each individual.
In Sya Allah, with this spirit, the future of Muslims from Myanmar will be brighter, more peaceful, and more prosperous.

We should have a friendly debate BUT MOST of our Myanmar Muslims are NOT debating BUT FIGHTING, sometimes even using underhand tactics, character assassinations and by using vulgar words with the numerous clone accounts. Some are really like the crabs trying to pull down others who are famous or popular. But I hope that we all agree to disagree and those who do not believe on UNITY IN DIVERSITY could still keep the ISLAMIC BROTHERHOOD Spirit and adopt this MOTTO, “One for all, all for one” i.e. Each individual should act for the benefit of the group, and the group should act for the benefit of each individual.
