Myanmar Muslim Aid (MMAID) Rebuilds Homes for Earthquake Victims

The Relief Committee under the All Myanmar Islamic Religious Affairs Organization, known as Myanmar Muslim Aid (MMAID), is actively rebuilding homes for earthquake-affected families on their own land.

The estimated costs for reconstruction are as follows:

  • Medium-sized house (256 sq. ft.): 5000,000 MMK
  • Small-sized house (192 sq. ft.): 3000,000 MMK
  • Major repairs for a house: 2000,000 MMK
  • Minor repairs for a house: 1000,000 MMK

These estimates are provided to help donors understand the expected expenses. If costs exceed projections, MMAID will cover the difference using funds from its Zakat/Sadaqah donations.

MMAID has displayed model designs for medium and small-sized homes on its Facebook page, including examples of houses previously built in Ywar Thit Village, Tatkone Township (Naypyidaw) and areas affected by Mocha Cyclone, allowing donors to review the construction quality.
