The Supplication Of The Oppressed, Of A Parent For A Child, Of A Traveler And Of A Fasting Person Have No Barrier Before Allah SWT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Islam teaches that oppression is forbidden against all human beings. The Prophet \ufdfa warned believers to fear the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between that prayer and Allah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Classical Islamic scholars further emphasized that this warning extends even to non-Muslims who have been wronged.<\/em><\/strong> Therefore, rulers and societies should be especially careful when dealing with refugees, migrants, or other vulnerable communities, lest they become victims of injustice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One famous narration reports that the Prophet \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, even if he is a disbeliever, for there is no barrier between it and Allah.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This wording is found in some hadith collections and is cited by classical scholars when discussing justice and oppression. The principle is that Allah&#8217;s justice is so absolute that oppression itself is condemned, regardless of the religion of the victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This fits with the authentic and widely accepted hadith:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Beware of the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and Allah.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notice that in the most famous versions of the hadith, the Prophet \ufdfa did <strong>not<\/strong> restrict it to Muslim victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is why many classical scholars warned Muslim rulers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do not oppress Muslims.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not oppress non-Muslims living under your protection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not oppress foreigners, travelers, migrants, refugees, laborers, or the weak.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For Allah may answer the plea of the oppressed regardless of status, ethnicity, nationality, or even religion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the Covid-19 period, many Rohingya refugees, Myanmar Muslims, other migrants, and vulnerable communities faced hostility, discrimination, and public scapegoating. In Islamic tradition, the supplication of the oppressed holds a special place before Allah. The Prophet \ufdfa warned believers to fear the prayer of the oppressed, because there is no barrier between that prayer and Allah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Islamic teachings also mention the accepted supplications of parents for their children, the traveler, and the oppressed person. In addition, many refugees and displaced persons endure conditions similar to those of the oppressed, the stranger, the wayfarer, the orphan, the widow, and the poor, all groups toward whom Islam repeatedly commands compassion and justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Muslims further believe that the supplication of a fasting person is especially blessed, particularly at the time of breaking the fast. Therefore, among refugee communities enduring hardship, many would naturally place their hopes in prayer, fasting, patience, and trust in Allah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether subsequent political events were a direct response to those prayers is ultimately known only to Allah. Yet many believers see a moral lesson in history: oppression does not last forever, power is temporary, and the cries of the vulnerable should never be ignored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Many believers saw these events as a reminder that oppression is temporary and that the prayers of the vulnerable should never be underestimated.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We can confidently say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The supplication of the oppressed has no barrier before Allah.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The supplication of a parent for a child is specially regarded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The supplication of a traveler is mentioned among accepted supplications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The supplication of a fasting person has special virtue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may reasonably infer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Many refugees, war victims, displaced migrants, widows, and orphans fall into categories of hardship, oppression, and vulnerability that Islam repeatedly commands believers to protect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">when refugees are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>oppressed,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>persecuted,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>expelled from their homes,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>deprived of their rights,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">they may fall under the broader category of <strong>mazl\u016bm (the oppressed)<\/strong>, for whom the Prophet \ufdfa gave this severe warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"399\" height=\"501\" src=\"https:\/\/myanmarmuslim.news\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-82.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7753\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myanmarmuslim.news\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-82.png 399w, https:\/\/myanmarmuslim.news\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-82-239x300.png 239w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"508\" height=\"603\" src=\"https:\/\/myanmarmuslim.news\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-81.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7752\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myanmarmuslim.news\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-81.png 508w, https:\/\/myanmarmuslim.news\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-81-253x300.png 253w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 508px) 100vw, 508px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islam teaches that oppression is forbidden against all human beings.
