Salai Boilian Thang\u2019s Post<\/strong> “It is reported that around 30 MPs from the Naypyidaw parliament traveled to the Indian government in Delhi to study the principles of a federal constitution. (They went in May and have not returned yet.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, NLD\/NUG have failed to create a practical framework like this over the past 5 years, nor have they built strong relations with countries that actively practice federalism. Throughout 5 years of revolution, they failed to present a precise roadmap for the type of federal system they intend to implement. This is why NLD\/NUG – SCEF entities continuously fall one step behind the military politically\u2014likely because they do not truly understand federalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even now, their definition of federal constituent units remains inconsistent. To establish a true federal unit structure, defining a clear Bamar State is necessary. Prioritizing federal units without first establishing a Bamar State demonstrates a lack of basic understanding of federalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a revolution where countless lives and futures have been sacrificed, let us think realistically: Who can fully implement a practical federal system first\u2014the Myanmar military or the NUG? Given that the military is engaging directly with India on federalism, they are currently ahead of the NUG politically. For the NUG to implement federalism, they must win the war first. Can they win? Yes, but how many years will it take, and how much strength have they built?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While nobody likes or trusts the current military, if time drags on and they can offer guarantees of a functioning federal system, the majority may eventually accept it. Therefore, the NUG and all SCEF members must move fast and realistically in both military and political arenas\u2014especially before the interim elections. If clear progress is not made, it is certain that all members of the resistance will have lost both militarily and politically.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
