Ladies and gentlemen, comrades in struggle, Today, May 21st, marks the 68th anniversary of the Shan Revolution<\/strong>. It is a sacred day, a day when we remember the courage of thirty-one young patriots in Mong Ton Township who, with only seven rifles, formed the \u201cNum Sit Han\u201d unit in 1958. Their sacrifice lit the flame of resistance that still burns today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflection on the Struggle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For sixty-eight years, our journey has been long and difficult. We must reflect honestly: some organizations and leaders, once entrusted with the revolution, allowed money and power<\/strong> to corrupt their purpose. Instead of serving the people, they built personal empires in the jungle, forgetting the national cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This selfishness has led to internal conflicts over territory and business interests<\/strong>, weakening our unity and prolonging the revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warning Against Weak Foundations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A revolution cannot be sustained by hatred alone. Hatred of the Burmese army is not enough. Without clear strategy, ideology, and long-term goals<\/strong>, movements lose direction in times of crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History shows us: when foundations are weak, some have surrendered to the enemy, or worse, transformed into militias serving the very oppressors they once opposed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The People\u2019s Struggle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Let us remember: the revolution is not only about armed groups. It is about the people\u2019s suffering<\/strong> caused by the betrayal of the Panglong Agreement of 1947<\/strong>, where promises of autonomy and equality were broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our struggle is therefore a people\u2019s revolution<\/strong>. Every citizen has a responsibility. Every Shan man and woman carries a duty to uphold the cause of freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call to Unity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Comrades, the Shan Revolution is not yet complete. We must resist corruption, reject factionalism, and strengthen our ideological foundations. Only then can we achieve the dream of a federal union based on equality and justice<\/strong>, as envisioned at Panglong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us honor the sacrifices of our forefathers not with words alone, but with unity, discipline, and unwavering commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
