We may be called Bama Muslims, Pathi, Rohingya, Zerbadee, or by many other names. Some accept these labels, others reject them. But the reality remains unchanged:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are Muslims of Myanmar\u2014and for those abroad, Muslims from Myanmar.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n No government, no scholar, and no authority can deny our existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While we debate names, we are weakening ourselves through internal conflict:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sunni vs Shia. At a time of crisis, this is a luxury we cannot afford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because when violence comes, it does not ask who we are within Islam. We are Muslims.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Let us be clear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n We do not need to agree on theology. But we must stand together politically and socially<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is not about religious unity\u2014it is about survival, dignity, and rights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some among us are quick to label others as \u201cdeviant\u201d and push them out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But we must ask honestly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Only Allah holds that authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Even if we believe others are wrong, we must leave space for change, guidance, and mercy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We must speak with one voice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Muslims of Myanmar are citizens of Myanmar.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n And we demand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nothing more\u2014but certainly nothing less.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some can work easily with non-Muslims, yet struggle to accept differences within fellow Muslims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This must change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As one friend wisely said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAt this time of crisis, we must hold hands together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do not be trapped by names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Do not be divided by differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Focus on what truly matters:Unity in diversity. Justice. Equality.
