Worse, the opposite unfolded:<\/strong><br>China strengthened its engagement with the SAC while the opposition forces, instead of forming a united diplomatic front, splintered into infighting, corruption scandals, and strategic miscalculations. President Trump totally ignored the plight of Myanmar citizens, Spring Revolutionaries,Myanmar Refugees and Migrants but rather seemed to give some favour to the Junta and China&#8217;s policy on Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, we are facing the consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Moment of False Hope: Amnesty Without Resolution<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesterday\u2019s prison amnesty brought a flicker of hope \u2014 but only a flicker.<br><strong>Dozens of political prisoners were released<\/strong>, yet the two central figures whose freedom is essential for any real national reconciliation \u2014 <strong>Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and senior NLD leaders<\/strong> \u2014 remain behind bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Releasing peripheral detainees while keeping the primary stakeholders imprisoned is <strong>not genuine reform<\/strong>. <strong>It is political theatre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>From MMNN, and on behalf of all Myanmar citizens who still believe in dialogue, I respectfully request:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u2014 Immediate release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and the top NLD leaders.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u2014 Immediate start of an inclusive, internationally facilitated peace dialogue involving China, ASEAN, and the United Nations.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Myanmar requires <strong>impartial negotiators<\/strong>.<br>We no longer have the internal trust needed to solve this alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The US\u2013China Dance: Hope or Mirage?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ank Min Zaw noted a significant development:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trump and Xi have held discussions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trump is expected to visit China in April.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Xi is invited to the US before next year ends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trump\u2019s office announced \u201cgreater mutual understanding\u201d between Washington and Beijing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Many in Myanmar immediately began to wonder:<br><strong>Could this thaw open a new path for our crisis?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But as the Burmese saying goes \u2014 <em>\u201cSoon after the election, the sons will come home empty-handed.\u201d<\/em><br>False hopes can break a nation\u2019s spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Silence, Lip Service, and Abandonment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Burmese post reflects a painful reality:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leaders from all sides \u2014 military, NUG, NUCC \u2014 have offered <strong>lip service<\/strong>, not leadership.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some activists who once shouted loud have disappeared.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Corruption scandals within the revolutionary camp have further demoralized the public.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In Northern Shan State, strategic missteps have led to withdrawals and confusion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When the \u201chomeowners\u201d (Bamar majority) leave the political house, only the \u201cguests\u201d (ethnic minorities) remain \u2014 a metaphor for how badly the national consensus has fractured.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The public no longer hears the \u201cvoice of revolution.\u201d<br>They hear exhaustion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the heart of it, ordinary citizens want simple things:<br><strong>food, stability, security, and the rule of law.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Nation Waiting Like in the Thuwanna Tharma Jataka<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Like the parents in the Thuwanna Tharma Jataka who prayed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cMay we see our son walking back home carrying the pot of gold.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>We, too, pray that Myanmar\u2019s future returns safely \u2014 before the monsoon closes the path forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The waves of political opportunity are slowing.<br>The tide is sinking.<br>The shelter may soon close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As one Rohingya commentator bluntly noted:<br>\u201cIf Myanmar continues on this path, even the place to seek refuge will disappear.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Final Appeal Before It Is Too Late<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Myanmar\u2019s crisis cannot be solved by weapons alone.<br>It cannot be solved by one faction shouting louder than the other.<br>And it certainly cannot be solved by foreign powers who care only about strategy, not suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, MMNN makes this urgent appeal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To China:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Your influence is decisive. Use it to push all sides toward dialogue, not domination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To ASEAN:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Stop issuing statements. Start mediating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To the United States:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Use your renewed US\u2013China engagement to nudge Beijing toward supporting a political settlement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To the SAC and NLD:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Release the leaders. Sit at the table. The nation is bleeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To the NUG:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Rebuild credibility, address corruption, and present a unified negotiating position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Myanmar stands at the final crossroads.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dialogue is no longer
