\u201cI gave kindness, but they treated me poorly. Instead of regretting it, I\u2019ll just say I was never good to begin with\u2014so I can stay calm.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

This sentiment, though cloaked in humor, reveals a deeper ache: the pain of being hurt after doing good. It\u2019s a dilemma many face\u2014should we regret our kindness when others respond with cruelty?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Islam: Intention is Everything<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Islam teaches that our actions are judged not by outcomes, but by intentions (niyyah<\/em>). The Prophet Muhammad \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To those who feel betrayed after doing good: your pain is valid, but your goodness is not wasted. Don\u2019t rewrite your past to avoid regret. Instead, honor your sincerity. You were good. You are good. And Allah (swt) knows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let your niyyah<\/em> be your shield. Let divine reward be your comfort. And let your heart remain soft, even in a world that sometimes bruises it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
