They stressed that any election held under military rule \u2014 amid ongoing conflict and the exclusion of key stakeholders \u2014 would only entrench authoritarian control and further destabilise the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group called for Asean to take urgent, time-bound action to end violence, protect civilians, and ensure humanitarian aid reaches conflict zones. They also urged the immediate release of political prisoners and stronger measures to hold the junta accountable for non-compliance with the Five-Point Consensus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meetings concluded with appreciation for Malaysia\u2019s leadership and a renewed call for Asean to stand firmly with the people of Myanmar.
