Singapore slams denial of Gaza aid as \u2018violation of international law\u2019, calls Israel\u2019s response \u2018unconscionable\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SINGAPORE, July 25 \u2014 Singapore has condemned the denial of humanitarian aid to Gaza, calling it a violation of international humanitarian law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on Thursday described Israel\u2019s military response as \u201cunconscionable\u201d and urged an immediate ceasefire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe prolonged suffering of innocent civilians in Gaza arising from the excessive Israeli military reaction to the terror attacks of Hamas since October 7, 2023, is unconscionable. Israel must comply with its international humanitarian obligations,\u201d according to a Channel News Asia<\/em> report, quoting an MFA spokesperson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe denial of humanitarian aid has caused mass starvation and a dire lack of essential medical services.
