Patriotic frogs’ world of puddle in the bullock’s footprints

There is a Malay proverb, “Seperti katak di bawah tempurung” which means, “Like a frog underneath coconut shell”. A frog which lives under a coconut shell used to think that the shell is its world. So, someone with the myopic vision will be like that frog and usually ignorant of things/events/places outside his /her’world’. He/she refuses to venture out into the real world outside and remains ignorant but but wrongly proud with what he/she has.

I am trying not to be like a frog underneath coconut shell.
In Burmese, we have a proverb,”The moonlight shinning in the hollow of the bamboo.”
Another one is more similar to the Malay proverb, “The frog thought its water in the foot-print of the cow was an ocean”.
Th picture below may combine the two proverbs.
And I am afraid that even if we were a king or a queen in our own place, we would become a commoner in other land.
