Pilot’s Remains Found After Myanmar Junta Jet Fighter Shot Down in Pale Township

Yangon, June 10 – Khit Thit Media

Parts of the body of a Myanmar junta fighter jet pilot, including his scalp and body fragments, were recovered today after the aircraft was shot down in Pale Township, Sagaing Region, according to local resistance fighters.

“We found the scalp. Not sure if there were any brain remains, but it looked like it. We couldn’t find the full body. It seems the pilot’s body was blown apart. The crash site caught fire—it crashed into a monastery compound,” said a local resistance fighter.

The fighter jet was shot down around 12:15 PM local time today, June 10, during an aerial bombing raid over the battle to seize the police station at Kant Daw village in Pale Township. The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) confirmed the downing of the aircraft.

A PLA official told Yangon Khit Thit News that their forces succeeded in shooting down one of the junta’s jet fighters involved in the airstrike.

The aircraft reportedly crashed into the premises of a monastery in Sapar Hse village, Pale Township. A representative from the Union Liberation Front also confirmed this detail to Khit Thit News.
