Islam’s beautiful Quranic verses

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَـٰكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ۬ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلۡنَـٰكُمۡ شُعُوبً۬ا وَقَبَآٮِٕلَ لِتَعَارَفُوٓاْ‌ۚ إِنَّ أَڪۡرَمَكُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتۡقَٮٰكُمۡ‌ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ۬ (١٣)

“And we set you up as nations and tribes so that you may be able to recognize each other” (49:13).

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). (13)

The division of human beings into nations, races, groups and tribes is for the sake of distinction, so that people of one race or tribe may meet and be acquainted with the people belonging to another race or tribe and co-operate with one another.

This division of the human race is neither meant for one nation to take pride in its superiority over others nor is it meant for one nation to treat another with contempt or disgrace, or regard them as a mean and degraded race and usurp their rights.

Indeed, the noblest among you before God are the most heedful of you (49:13).

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in address of the Farewell Hajj_

“No Arab has any superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab.
Nor does a white man have any superiority over a black man or the black man any superiority over the white man.
You are all the children of Adam, and Adam was created from clay” (al-Bayhaqi and al-Bazzaz).
“Do not argue with the people of the Book (Christians and Jews) unless it is in the politest manners” (29:46)

Wahai umat manusia! Sesungguhnya Kami telah menciptakan kamu dari lelaki dan perempuan dan Kami telah menjadikan kamu berbagai bangsa dan bersuku puak, supaya kamu berkenal-kenalan (dan beramah mesra antara satu dengan yang lain). Sesungguhnya semulia-mulia kamu di sisi Allah ialah orang yang lebih takwanya di antara kamu, (bukan yang lebih keturunan atau bangsanya). Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui, lagi Maha Mendalam PengetahuanNya (akan keadaan dan amalan kamu). (13)

وَفِىٓ أَمۡوَٲلِهِمۡ حَقٌّ۬ لِّلسَّآٮِٕلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ (١٩)

[They ask “when will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?” (12) (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! (13) “Taste ye your trial! this is what ye used to ask to be hastened!” (14) As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, (in the Paradise), (15)]

And in their properties there was the right of the Sa’il (the beggar who asks), and the Mahrûm (the poor who does not ask the others) , (19)

And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy), him who asked and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). (19)

Dan pada harta-harta mereka, (ada pula bahagian yang mereka tentukan menjadi) hak untuk orang miskin yang meminta dan orang miskin yang menahan diri (daripada meminta). (19)

وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰكَ إِلَّا رَحۡمَةً۬ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِينَ (١٠٧)

(O Muhammad), We have not sent you, but as mercy to all the worlds. (Al-Anbiyaa’ 21:107)

We sent thee not, but as a mercy for all creatures. (107)

We sent thee not save as a mercy for the peoples. (107)

And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) not but as a mercy for the ‘Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists). (107)

Dan tiadalah Kami mengutuskan engkau (wahai Muhammad), melainkan untuk menjadi rahmat bagi sekalian alam. (107)

مِنۡ أَجۡلِ ذَٲلِكَ ڪَتَبۡنَا عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسۡرَٲٓءِيلَ أَنَّهُ ۥ مَن قَتَلَ نَفۡسَۢا بِغَيۡرِ نَفۡسٍ أَوۡ فَسَادٍ۬ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَڪَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعً۬ا وَمَنۡ أَحۡيَاهَا فَڪَأَنَّمَآ أَحۡيَا ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعً۬ا‌ۚ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُنَا بِٱلۡبَيِّنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرً۬ا مِّنۡهُم بَعۡدَ ذَٲلِكَ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لَمُسۡرِفُونَ (٣٢)

Whosoever kills a human being without (any reason like) man slaughter, or corruption on earth, it is as though he had killed all mankind … (5:32)

On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone slew a person―unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land― it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our Messengers with clear Signs, yet even after that many of them continued to commit excesses in the land. (32)

“And whoever saves a life it is as though he had saved the lives of all mankind” (5:32).

Dengan sebab (kisah pembunuhan kejam) yang demikian itu kami tetapkan atas Bani Israil, bahawasanya sesiapa yang membunuh seorang manusia dengan tiada alasan yang membolehkan membunuh orang itu atau (kerana) melakukan kerosakan di muka bumi, maka seolah-olah dia telah membunuh manusia semuanya dan sesiapa yang menjaga keselamatan hidup seorang manusia, maka seolah-olah dia telah menjaga keselamatan hidup manusia semuanya dan demi sesungguhnya, telah datang kepada mereka Rasul-rasul kami dengan membawa keterangan yang cukup terang; kemudian, sesungguhnya kebanyakan dari mereka sesudah itu, sungguh-sungguh menjadi orang-orang yang melampaui batas (melakukan kerosakan) di muka bumi. (32)

يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تُحِلُّواْ شَعَـٰٓٮِٕرَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا ٱلشَّہۡرَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ وَلَا ٱلۡهَدۡىَ وَلَا ٱلۡقَلَـٰٓٮِٕدَ وَلَآ ءَآمِّينَ ٱلۡبَيۡتَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ يَبۡتَغُونَ فَضۡلاً۬ مِّن رَّبِّہِمۡ وَرِضۡوَٲنً۬ا‌ۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلۡتُمۡ فَٱصۡطَادُواْ‌ۚ وَلَا يَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوۡمٍ أَن صَدُّوڪُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ أَن تَعۡتَدُواْ‌ۘ وَتَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى ٱلۡبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ‌ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡعُدۡوَٲنِ‌ۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ‌ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ (٢)

“Do not let your hatred of a people incite you to aggression” (5:2).

O ye who believe! violate not the sanctity of the Symbols of Allah, nor of the Sacred Month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands that mark out such animals, nor the people resorting to the Sacred House, seeking of the bounty, and good pleasure of their Lord. But when ye are clear of the Sacred Precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt and let not the hatred of some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah: for Allah is strict in punishment. (2)

Wahai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah kamu ingat halal membuat sesuka hati mengenai syiar-syiar agama Allah dan mengenai bulan-bulan yang dihormati, dan mengenai binatang-binatang yang dihadiahkan (ke Mekah untuk korban) dan mengenai kalong-kalong binatang hadiah itu dan mengenai orang-orang yang menuju ke Baitullah Al-Haram, yang bertujuan mencari limpah kurnia dari Tuhan mereka (dengan jalan perniagaan) dan mencari keredaanNya (dengan mengerjakan ibadat Haji di Tanah Suci) dan apabila kamu telah selesai dari ihram maka bolehlah kamu berburu dan jangan sekali-kali kebencian kamu kepada suatu kaum kerana mereka pernah menghalangi kamu dari Masjidilharam itu, mendorong kamu menceroboh dan hendaklah kamu bertolong-tolongan untuk membuat kebajikan dan bertakwa dan janganlah kamu bertolong-tolongan pada melakukan dosa (maksiat) dan pencerobohan dan bertakwalah kepada Allah, kerana sesungguhnya Allah Maha Berat azab seksaNya (bagi sesiapa yang melanggar perintahNya). / (2)
